The Fire Drill

Hello everyone! A couple of really interesting events happened this week. Which is really cool. Also, we had a last minute day off from school on Monday because of the haze so we kind of fast forwarded in the week.

Like the title says, a fire drill really was carried out. It was an extremely cool experience. I haven't been in a fire drill since primary school which could've been like 4/5 years ago. So anyway, we were in class then all of a sudden the bell started ringing. I kind of though it was normal since it would usually ring to mark the periods. But the ringing this time was wayyy different. When walking out of the class, we could see other students running too. But not exactly running very fast, but at a reasonable pace. (i'm not sure if that made sense)

Once we all assembled at the hall, there were a group of real fire fighters who were there to demonstrate how to use a fire extinguisher. They literally created a small fire... WHICH ALL OF A SUDDEN TURNED INTO A BIG ONE AND STARTED RELEASING BLACK SMOKE. But it was just for a moment so I guess it didn't really cause anything? I hope it didn't cause the haze has been clearing up and it would suck for it to be hazy again.

The fire fighters invited a few people from the school to try extinguishing the fire. I guess it was kinda cool to see your absolutely adorable teacher wipe out a fire with a fire extinguisher. They had to wear the really thick jackets and a helmet which is so big! My friends said my teacher was standing too close to the fire. xD Fortunately she made it out of there okay. That's pretty much it.

Today, my school had their annual prize giving ceremony and i'm proud to say that I participated in it. Since I was in the school choir, we had a performance. I also received two awards for getting the highest score for two subjects in the whole form. It was a pretty exciting day today. :D

That's pretty much all that happened today and for the past week. The week went by fast. I also have to start my intense revision because trials are coming up! I hope I'll be able to score well for my trials which is going to happen next month. *yikes* Till here, cheerio!

Song of the Week

I am absolutely happy to hear these boys again. This week the song I have chosen is 24/seven by Big Time Rush. It's been a long time since I heard something new from them and also since I heard something from them on the radio. Listen to it and tell me what you think about it. :D

A Hazy Week

Hello everyone! It's time for that weekly upload. :D First of all, I wanna give a huge shoutout to Max Schneider (not that he's gonna read this post) for turning 21 yesterday! Cheers to the guy. :D

So basically, the week went by really fast. Also, the haze condition have been getting worse day by day. Every morning, the first thing you smell is smoke. It's also getting pretty thick so you can't exactly see buildings that are far away. The last time a haze was this bad was when I was still in primary school. I really hope that the haze conditions will improve within the couple of days because I honestly don't want to be smelling smoke for the next few days. It is not pleasant at all.

Overall, it has also been a really tiring week. I had to stay back three days in a row. But it was pretty fun. We got to see the students play Tarik Tali (not exactly sure how to spell it in english). The game was pretty intense especially the boys category. They've got extremely strong boys in the Yellow House. Congrats to the Yellow House for winning both categories. A lot of people lost their voice cheering for their houses. xD I have to admit even I was shouting for my house but fortunately I didn't really lose my voice.

The highlight of the week would definitely be Friday. First of all, we had a good 1 hour and 20 minutes of PJ. Which usually will be cut down to 1 hour because of the activity that they have every Friday. Then during geography, our teacher was in a really good mood which is was supah dupah dope because she would usually scold us most of the time. I guess she was really happy because she bought drinks for the whole class. YAY! It was so awesome. After recess, we didn't study for one period and during that time I played Monopoly Deal with Nadiah, in class. xD For the last two periods of school, we had this program called Mentor Mentee. During that program we didn't study either so all in all it was a good day. *thumbs up*

Now, I have to finish up my history project because the deadline is coming up. Before I forget. I uploaded a cover of me singing Gone Gone Gone by Phillip Phillips on soundcloud! I would really appreaciate it if you could go check it out. (: I guess that's all for this week. Till here, cheerio.

Song of the Week

The song of the week for this incredibly awesome week is The Other Side by Jason Derulo. It's an awesome song! I haven't heard anything new from Jason Derulo so this is pretty awesome. Have always liked his songs anyway. If you have time make sure to also catch the cover of the song made by Max, Keke Palmer, Kurt Hugo Schneider and..... JASON DERULO HIMSELF! Not so much of a cover since the original singer is there. Also, the cover by Alex G and Jason Chen is amazing so go check that out too!

The First Week of School...

Hello everyone! So sorry that this weeks blog post is posted a day late yet again. Was out the whole day yesterday and couldnt find the time to update my blog.

Anyway, this week, a couple of exciting things happened. Apparently, on the first day of school we were suddenly informed that someone needed to go up and give a speech. We had absolutely no idea about this and was told that we would be demerit-ed if we didn't find someone to represent the class. HOORAY! What a shocking first day of school.

Other than that, on Friday, I went to Taylors Lakeside College to see an open mic. I have to say it is one of the most awesome things you can ever be part of. I mean if you're interested in music or just like to see people performing. Well, generally an open mic is an event where you can sign up and perform a couple of songs or whatever you want to. Met more awesome people at the open mic. Hope that I can participate in one open mic after PMR. It's time to get involved!

Remember how I said that i'll try to get some photo's. I finally got them onto the comp (well more like my dad transferred it) Anyway, here they are!

Was far too lazy to caption the photos. Maybe i'll just edit it in later or something if i feel like it. I would also want to wish all the beautiful fathers in the world a Happy Father's Day! ENJOY IT! See you all next week. Till here, cheerio!

Song of the Week

This weeks song of the week is yet another cover. Hahahaha. I have a lot of covers as my songs of the week. Well, this week is a cover of I Want You Back by Max Schneider and his band a.k.a the Babes. Funny name i know but it's also an extremely fun name to say. xD Anyway, hope you guys will enjoy this weeks blog post.

It's Time for School

Hey guys! Here's this weeks update. Today i'll just briefly tell you guys about my trip to Kota Bharu. And also, school is starting on Monday. ): Sad face. Well I had a pretty enjoyable holiday despite the amount of homework I have.

So, Kota Bharu is the capital of a state called Kelantan. It's just mainly popular for it's culture and definitely its food. Who am I kidding, Malaysia has the best food in the world, to me. I really enjoy Malaysian cuisine because of its variety. I took a plane there because driving a car would take almost a whole day compared to taking a plane which is so much faster. It turns out that the hotel I was staying in is owned by one of my close friends. I found it really cool. xD

In Kota Bharu, we did not have a car to bring us around. We had to depend on walking to visit all the attractions in the city. The weather was hot and humid so the walk wasn't very pleasant. I found myself complaining over the weather countless times. Fortunately, our hotel was strategically located not far from the place we wanted to visit so it was only a 10-15 minute walk. But because of the hot weather it felt much longer. We decided to visit Pasar Siti Khadijah which is a wet market which is not exactly out of the ordinary but it was a really cool market because it consisted of a few floors and you'll not only find vegetables and meat in the market but also Batik!

Next to Pasar Siti Khadijah is Kompleks Batik (or well i think that's what it's called) In that building, they sell all sorts of Batik clothing. I got a kaftan for my cute cousin and a dress for me. I was given money to spend so I decided to spend it on the dress. It's different and unique, so why not. We also visited Pantai Cahaya Bulan which is a really short beach. A lot of people were flying their kites in the beach which filled the sky with colours. I managed to get some really cool pictures because the sun was just setting. Oh I forgot to mention that we managed to rent a car for a day. (HOORAY FOR THE AIR COND)

With the car, we could drive to further places so we decided to look for the temples. At first, we gave up on the idea because it was out of town and we weren't sure if we could find it. But on our way back to town from visiting another beach, we bumped into one of the popular temples and so we decided to find the temple with the sleeping Buddha. WE SUCCEEDED. WE FOUND THE TEMPLE! It was a really awesome experience. Also, because Kelantan is right next to Thailand, some of the temples has thai writing on it which made it really cool.

That pretty much sums up my whole visit to Kelantan. xD I hope you enjoyed reading it. I don't think it sounds as nice as the way I described Singapore. hahahaha. I would also apologize over the fact that i couldn't get pictures on sooner. Well, i'll see you all again next week. Till here, cheerio.

Song of the Week

Recently, I started watching SMASH online since it was the holidays and it kind of inspired me to watch 13 The Musical on Broadway because Max was in it. Then I discovered that the lead guy in the film is the guy from Ben 10 (yes I used to watch Ben 10, don't judge me. xD). Anyway, I looked the guy up and found out that he used to date Ariana Grande and has a song with her. This weeks song of the week is Stick Around by Graham Phillips and Ariana Grande. It's pretty catchy and I hope you guys will like it. I mean, who knew Ben could sing! xD

I'm Back!

Hello everyone! After two weekends i spent out of town, i'm finally back to update my blog. I apologize that you guys had to wait so long for an update but here i am giving you guys an update, on a Monday. Wouldn't want you guys to wait any longer for it. :D

First weekend was spent in Singapore! So basically, Singapore is an extremely modern city. Like seriously, skyscrapers everywhere. :O Despite how big the city was, it was really easy to navigate ourselves around town because of the transport system there which is really really reliable. The best part is that a train comes every 5 minutes. So we don't really have to wait for long. We also had the pleasure of seeing the whole of Singapore thanks to my dad's friend who brought us around the town in his car. We also had dinner with my dad's friend and his wife at restaurants which has exceptionally good food.

At Singapore, I visited some of the tourist attractions there. On the second day, we went to the S.E.A. Aquarium which stands for the South East Asia Aquarium. Its located right opposite Universal Studios Singapore in Sentosa Island. We had to line up for 4 hours before finally entering the world's largest aquarium. At least the wait was worth it because there were many types of fish in the aquarium. Tons of them! We took a lot of photos, hopefully I can get it into the computer for my next blog post.

On the third day, we decided to go shopping for a while. Went to the mall not far from the hotel and got a few stuff. :D After shopping for a while, we took an MRT to a mall that we accidentally discovered a few years ago. In that mall, there's a stall that serves really good Indonesian food. (really ironic how i went to Singapore to eat Indonesian food xD) After eating, we bought frozen yogurt (which i forgot how awesome it tasted because i haven't eaten it for years). I really enjoyed that meal. xD

After going to the shopping mall, we went to Marina Bay Sands. What's really frustrating is that there were like a bunch of YouTubers IN THAT BUILDING. The YouTubers that i watch all the time WERE IN THE SAME BUILDING AS ME. They were all apparently there for the Social Star Awards. I was really hoping that i could at least bump into one of them but sadly. ): Anyways, we visited the Skypark, which is located right at the top of the building. You know the ship on top of the building, yup, there! :O We could see all the buildings surrounding the tower. But you can't really see the city because Marina Bay Sands is like right at the side of the island. After visiting the Skypark, we walked over to Gardens by the Bay, which is like a park right next to Marina Bay Sands, so it wasn't that far. I was pretty glad that we managed to do everything we wanted in one day. (It was pretty rushed since we already spent one whole day in the aquarium)

On my last and final day in Singapore, we just walked a few blocks over to a shopping mall. We didn't do much there though, but i did manage to get myself a new school bag as my current school bag's zip is broken. hahahaha. I like my school bag! Soon after, we had to rush back to the hotel because we had to leave and continue our journey to the airport. We walked (pulling our hand luggage) all the way to the nearest train station and bought a ticket to go to the airport. .... and that was pretty much how it went. This concludes my trip in Singapore.

It was a really really enjoyable trip and i really enjoyed myself. It's a beautiful city to go to and i hope i'll be given the chance to explore more of the city in the future. Also, i left out the part where i actually went to school in the morning and had to rush back to catch my flight to Singapore. It was a fun day. I certainly did not expect the blog post to be this long but it did. xD I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post and i will be back later this week to blog about my recent adventure. See you guys later in the week. Till here, cheerio!

Song of the Week

This week's Today's song will be Nothing Without Love by Max Schneider! Its a really nice song that you can dance to and also his single. So proud that he was able to reach his goal in his Kickstarter to produce it. I think that's pretty much it for today. See you all later this week. (:
